Software company Oracle plans to expand its Austin headquarters  with more office space, along with a hotel, conference center and other development. Paperwork filed with the city of Austin by local real estate law firm Armbrust & Brown indicates that it seeks zoning to modify its existing planned unit development with the city, Towers reported Thursday.

The documents indicate that Oracle wants to build a new 287,000-square-foot office building, a 255-room hotel, an events center with 10,000-square-foot events center, a 5,000-square-foot conference center, and a 50,000-square-foot  health and fitness club, the Austin American-Statesman reported Saturday.

Oracle’s Austin headquarters campus currently encompasses more than one million square feet.

The company opened the campus in 2018 and designated it as corporate headquarters in 2020. Oracle has an estimated 2,800 employees in the city.

The tract where the expansion and hotel is being planned is home to the former Town Lake Village Condos, which Oracle bought in 2021 for a reported $43 million-plus and secured approval to demolish last year.
