IBM will anchor one of the newest office buildings in North Austin's Domain development, Houston-based developer Hines announced  Tuesday. The multinational tech company has made a deal, brokered by Dallas' CBRE, to lease 507,200 square feet in a complex Hines will develop at 11901 N. MoPac on the north end of the Domain.

IBM will relocate from its two current Austin offices near the Domain to the complex, which Hines says will be ready for occupancy in 2027. Plans are for two connected, 14-story buildings with exclusive lobbies for each tower, multiple amenity decks , private balconies, outdoor sports amenities, and a fitness and conference center. The property is being designed for LEED Gold certification and will seek WELL Platinum, WiredScore Platinum, and Austin Energy Green Build distinctions. Hines expects construction to start in late 2023.

“Austin continues to be a desirable market for tenants, and flight to quality remains a key trend as tenants seek premium assets in optimum locations,” said Hines' Alex Ohrn in a press release.
