The California development group that wants to build a 5,000-seat outdoor concert venue in the Hill County remains committed to the project despite the opposition of area residents.

Representatives from Silicon Valley-based Lexor Investments said they have "many of the same concerns" as neighbors, including environmental and public safety impacts, as they aim to turn a 32-acre tract at 14820 Fitzhugh Road into a concert, dining, events and entertainment venue that will fill a void of upscale outdoor concert venues on the outskirts of Austin, the Austin Business Journal reported.

Bill LeClerc, director of real estate development and investment for Lexor, said his company has been working with stakeholders such as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Hays County to address those concerns. Lexor has operated a similar venue for more than two decades in a neighborhood near Saratoga, California, called The Mountain Winery, which has drawn acts like Willie Nelson, Ray Charles and Lyle Lovett.
