Westinghouse Crossing, a 35-acre mixed-use development in Georgetown, is set to break ground in January.
The development, which was previously expected to break ground this fall, will be located near the intersection of Westinghouse Road and North Mays Street and include 225,000 square feet of space.
Brooke Harlander, regional partner with project developer St. John Properties, said that while there are no tenants currently lined up, 170,000 square feet across four buildings will be designed for flexible research and development space.
Additionally, there will be nearly 40,000 square feet across two buildings for commercial offices and just under 15,000 square feet in another building for retail space. A nearly 2-acre pad site for restaurant or health care uses is also planned.
The first two buildings of the project are expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
