Goodnight Ranch, a 700-acre Southeast Austin subdivision, has plans to add new retail tenants, medical services, and an underpass creating a 3-mile looping trail to its growing neighborhood.
Tenants that will be opening soon include:
- Meow Bark Veterinary, a 2,474-square-foot, locally owned neighborhood vet, expected to open by the end of 2024.
- Action Behavior Centers, a 6,844-square-foot ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) provider for children on the Autism Spectrum, expected to open by the end of 2024.
- Amazing Explorers, a 12,156-square-foot childcare center that utilizes a proprietary STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) curriculum, expected to open early in 2025.
- Boba Magic, a 1,241-square-foot neighborhood café serving various boba teas and hosting community events, expected to open in 2025.
Additionally, Uplift Self Storage is expected to open a 100,000-square-foot facility at 6726 Stockman Ranch Drive in mid-2025.
Other tenants that recently opened their doors include: Hotworx, an infrared fitness studio; Duke’s Liquor, a liquor store that offers personalized service, tastings and special events; Mi Casa Family Dentistry, a multispecialty, bilingual dentistry practice; Texas Physical Therapy Specialists; and High Point Dentistry.
Austin Regional Clinic, which opened a Goodnight Ranch location in late October, is recruiting family medicine practitioners to enhance and broaden the range of services available at the location.
A Park, Underpass and New 3-Mile Loop
Remuda Park, in Goodnight Ranch south of Slaughter Lane, is also expected to open in the new year. The park will have a three-story playground, pickleball courts, food trucks, shaded picnic tables and benches, and a pond with wildlife.
The name of the park is inspired by the "remudas" of the old wild west — groups of spare horses kept on hand by cattle ranchers along the Goodnight-Loving Trail to ensure horses and cowboys had time to rest between long journeys.
Remuda Park connects to the rest of Goodnight Ranch via a 3-mile trail loop, made complete with the opening of the Vertex Pedestrian Tunnel. The addition of the tunnel, part of the Onion Creek Metro Park District, provides a safe, below-grade crossing under Slaughter Lane.
“Southeast Austin welcomes each and every new retailer, medical provider and acre of parkland that’s headed to Goodnight Ranch,” Myra Goepp of Goodnight developer Benchmark Austin said.
“Our vision from the start has been to create an inviting, convenient and sustainable neighborhood centered on people and their day-to-day needs,” Goepp added. "The community design intentionally integrates residential areas, neighborhood retail, schools, parks, and employment next to transit. These openings are testament to that vision coming to life. We’re thrilled to play a role in helping to fulfill the market voids for residents of Goodnight Ranch as well as the surrounding communities.”
