Dallas-based builder Landsea Homes has begun construction on a subdivision that will bring 45 single-family homes to the growing city of Manor, 12 miles northeast of Austin, the company announced Monday.

The homebuilder broke ground on Village at Manor Commons, a residential development based at 20400 Stelfox Street, north of U.S. Hwy. 290 between Old Kimbro Road and state Hwy. 1100. Village at Manor Commons will offer 45 one-and two-story, three- or four-bedroom homes ranging from 1,400 to 2,400 square feet. Landsea expects prices to start in the low-$300,000 range.

“Given the community’s affordability and prime location, it is on the fast track to becoming an ideal community for first-time homebuyers, young families and professionals looking to take the leap into homeownership as well as those looking to downsize and simplify their lives,” said Landsea's Andy Lee.

The Landsea homes at Village at Manor Commons will be equipped with Apple HomeKit smart-home automation that includes an Apple HomePod mini, wifi, entry door locks, thermostat control, garage door opener control, light-dimmer switches, doorbell camera prewire, and smart-home activation with in-person training by Best Buy’s Geek Squad.

Landsea Homes is also selling new homes in surrounding Austin suburbs including  Lariat in Liberty Hill and Avery Centre in Round Rock and is developing residential community Freedom at Anthem in Kyle.
