Plans to replace a sprawling, longstanding retail complex with a taller, more densified multifamily complex in North Austin are underway. Austin’s Endeavor Real Estate Group is working its way through the city permitting process for developing a 4.3-acre site at the corner of Braker and Kramer lanes, Towers reported.
Recent plans in review show a five-story building with 396 rental units and a central parking structure and 14,000-square-foot amenity space rising to seven floors, close to the maximum building height under zoning for the site.
The property at 2320 Kramer Lane is near the Domain, Q2 Stadium, and CapMetro’s McKalla and Kramer rail stations. The increased activity around those landmarks is due in part to denser development allowed under the city’s North Burnet/Gateway Regulating Plan, according to Towers.
