Elon Musk will continue his extended foray into lands east of Austin with a planned extension of his Safety X Support Center at Hyperloop Plaza, 865 FM 1209, in Bastrop, the small town/suburb 30 miles east of Austin.
"Exciting news! X is expanding our Safety X Support Center with a brand-new facility in Bastrop, TX, at @hyperloop plaza with the @boringcompany and @SpaceX,” reads the July 29 Twitter announcement. "We're looking for passionate individuals to join our mission of revolutionizing digital public discourse and protecting freedom of speech.” Positions offer a base salary of $50,000-$55,000, it continues.
The move follows Musk’s July 16 post that stated that he will move the social media platform's headquarters from California to Texas as a result of the recent signing of California's Assembly Bill No. 1955, passed to protect LGBTQ pupils and their parents.
