On the heels of opening the Markson with 330 units near Hwy. 290 and MoPac, Ohio-based developer the NRP Group has broken ground on another mixed-use apartment complex — this one in East Austin suburb/edge city Del Valle.

NRP is developing the $62 million project at 6205 Ross Road in collaboration with the Travis County Facilities Corporation.

Half of the 328 units planned for the apartment complex are reserved for residents earning 60-80 percent of the area's median income, or about $49,080 to $65,450 annually.

The 400,000-square-foot, four-story complex on 16.5 acres will have green spaces and outdoor amenities including two landscaped courtyards, a dog park, a pool, a cabana area, and a corn hole court.

The complex will also offer working spaces and meeting rooms, a fitness center, and a community kitchen.

Developers have started on early stages of construction, and the complex is expected to be completed and available to renters by 2026.
