A rezoning that would allow the Austin Housing Finance Corporation to build up to 150 affordable rental units in Southeast Austin moved forward Tuesday, with the Planning Commission voting on consent to recommend approval to the Austin City Council.
If the plan moves forward, the proposed apartment complex at 5900 South Pleasant Valley Road will have 90 to 100 rental units priced for families earning 30 percent to 60 percent the area median family income level.
