The Leland South Congress, Intracorp’s mixed-use project at 2121 South Congress Avenue, has reached a couple of early milestones in October, with no surprises as far as we know. General contractor Summit Design and Build announced the completion of the sales gallery earlier this month, and partners broke ground the seven-story building Tuesday.
The sales center at 2110 South Congress showcases Austin-based Michael Hsu Office of Architecture's interiors and amenities for its 270 residences, a mix of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums and penthouses. Community amenities will include a pool, a private garden, a pet grooming and play area, a library, coworking lounges, and a fitness center.
Michael Hsu Architecture's team will also design and program the Leland's 22,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space, which will be anchored by a 6,000-square-foot outdoor dining paseo.
Houston's Kirksey Architecture is lead architect on the project, with Nudge Design guiding the landscape architecture. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing will oversee sales and marketing for the residences, and Shop Companies will conduct marketing and leasing for the ground-level retail. Leifer Properties, Northland Properties, and ARON Industries are also partners on the project.
