A new H-E-B complex is underway in north Georgetown, just west of Sun City. The popular Texas-based grocery chain announced Tuesday it has started on the shopping and service center at corner of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Ranch Road 2338 in the Parmer Ranch community.
Plans include a 112,000-square-foot grocery store, a fuel center, and a car wash. The store will anchor the new Parmer Ranch Marketplace shopping center and will be about 10 minutes from Sun City, the 5,000-acre, age-restricted community with almost 16,000 residents on the north end of the sprawling Georgetown suburb.
The shopping center, which Barshop & Oles is developing, will have also two multitenant buildings and five pad sites.
The H-E-B, Georgetown’s fourth, will have a pharmacy with drive-through pickup, delivery and curbside pickup service, the aforementioned fuel and car wash station, and Texas Backyard, an H-E-B division that sells plants, grills, and outdoor equipment,
“We’re proud to have served the Georgetown community for over 55 years and look forward to continuing to bring our customers the very best that H-E-B has to offer,” said H-E-B’s Heidi Anderson.
“It's going to be uniquely crafted to fit the fabric of this community and this neighborhood,” she continued. “It'll provide customers with expanded product selection and a world-class shopping experience that we try to bring to every store that we have.”
The store is expected to open in summer 2025.
