Colorado resort company Global Springs is bringing a $5 million luxury spa and wellness resort to northwest Austin suburb Cedar Park, a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing reveals. WorldSprings Austin will be a 40,000-square-foot hot springs resort equipped with 40 pools, ABC affiliate KVUE reported.
The proposed location for the mineral springs resort, which would be the largest in the nation, is near the intersection of East New Hope and Scottsdale drives in Cedar Park east of US 183A.
It will have 46 pools inspired by nine popular travel destinations. In addition to the 41 mineral hot springs pools, there will be with three cold plunges and two freshwater pools. There will also be barrel saunas, food, and a full-service bar.
Cedar Park has no natural mineral hot or cold springs.
Pools modeled after South Pacific locations will be all-ages; pools in the vein of European, North and South American, and Asian destination will be for adults only.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2025 with hopes of completing the project by May 2026.
