Dallas-based commercial developer KDC is set to market and develop a 150-acre site near the coming Samsung factory in Taylor, 40 miles north of downtown Austin.
The Taylor HQ site is on Farm-to-Market Road 973, near the $17 billion, 2,000-acre Central Texas semiconductor plant near Samsung is building on U.S. Highway 79.
Partnering with Houston's Transwestern, the Dallas developer will "pursue build-to-suit opportunities for manufacturing, office, logistics, warehousing, data center and other uses," according to a KDC press release.
The move is part of a flurry of new development of the Taylor Samsung factory, as the location "offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for companies working with Samsung or that are interested in having a high-profile neighbor next door,” said KDC’s Bill Guthrey.
Nash Frisbie with Transwestern is coordinating the marketing effort.
